But then I have days when I'm hungry for fruit and nuts (my new "treats") and I'll add 30. Yet, I'll be okay the next day, and won't crave that for a week or so. That seems workable.
However, like yesterday, when I went out for brunch (AT LONG LONG LAST) with friends I haven't seen in person for a YEAR, and there was a couple of mimosas, and this morning I felt it. I hope I get together with them soon (and I will not have a drink at all that time

because I've been like a monk in a monastery that doesn't make wine or bake, and it's been winter so I can't even stroll in the gardens.
It's a wake-up call to what a slug of fruit juice carbs plus alcohol does to my new metabolism. Worth it once in a while, sure, but not something I look forward to the way I used to.
We're in the mountains and the mornings are still nippy enough for me to have a big hot chocolate protein smoothie for breakfast. YESSSSSS
