Hello All!

I am so thankful that I found this forum! I am new to this WOE and I am muddling my way through TSP book and her cookbook. Do you think I need to also get SPII as well?

I found about TSP as I began Sommersizing in April and found the SS WOE to be really good. It helped me to clean up my sugar (totally elminated it) and cut way back on carbs. Anyhow, I wasn't seeing the great weight loss. I only have about 5 lbs to loose though. I did see initial water weight loss, but I think that's back now. I do work out.

So I figured I'd give TSP a try, but I am finding myself cheating here and there b/c I am so unsure about many things and find it hard to grasp everything. I am still reading and not done. I do hope I get the hang of this soon. I'm finding reading some of your journals so encouraging.

BTW, just by reading some of the posts here I totally believe I have a moderate Candida infection going on in my body. I found this link on it and wondered if I can adjust to eating to relieve myself of the Candida along with doing TSP.:

http://www.candidapage.com/candiet.txt (very interesting stuff)

Take care,
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie:

Welcome to the forum.

That's a hard question to answer about getting the second book. Myself, I preferred SPII b/c she didn't address adrenal or cortisol issues in SPI. Personally, I also think SPII is meant to trump SPI but many prefer the simplicity of SPI. Maybe take a gander through SPII at your book store. A quick gander should give you an idea of whether you want the book or not.

I've done the Candida diet myself. It was the first diet my doc put me on. SP and the candida diet are certainly compatible. If you suspect Candida, then it's likely that you may have burned out adrenals since Candida is a huge body stress. Maybe SPII would be good for you to read.

Any questions you have, just post away!

Wanda
