Default Returning to CALP after holidays off...

I took a break from CALP during the holidays... a mistake, but not too bad. Up and down the same 3 pounds pretty much. If I was up, I'd low carb for the day to keep in control. But now I need to rev up and start back on the losing track. Any words of wisdom? I've been back on plan for a few days with no losses yet.

Also, any ideas for meat free, high protein low carb meals? It's Lent and I am off meat today and then on Fridays...

Hi-
I never go off- for me this is not a diet, so what is there to go off? You can stay on CALP and maintain over a holiday or a vacation or event, but then get more serious and eat "cleaner" and more balanced at RM to lose again.

No meat- I am assuming you mean red meat (beef, lamb, pork)? Chicken, all fish and seafood, eggs, turkey, cornish game hens, duck. You can get ground turkey or ground chicken, all kinds of chicken sausages and turkey bacon and sausage, and so many kinds of fish and shrimp and such. Eggs are excellent too-
hth and welcome back- it is GREAT you are back.

For Lent, I do mostly cheese/egg things, lots of veggies, protein shakes, etc. For your RMs you can do anything like beans, lentils, etc. We don't care for fish or seafood so we just stick with the above things. I make casseroles with Dreamfield's pasta, veggies, sauces, cheese.

I make my own protein shakes and for my CMs I use egg white powder instead of protein powder. I imagine there would be some recipes in the recipe section that may help, too.

Eno, no meat means no red meat or poultry. Fish is okay, but I don't eat many types of seafood and my kids aren't fans so I don't prepare much.

mama, Thanks for the suggestions. I will have to go in search of recipes.
