Default Could this be magic?

I just had to post this.. Three months ago, I was wearing baggy size 22 trousers, with an elasticated waist. This evening, I felt brave enough to get out my favourite trousers (size 16 - close fitting and buttoned at the waist). I wanted to see how far up my legs I could get them. The last time, I could only get them a few inches above my knees. I hoped desperately to get them up to my hips this time.

They slid all the way up my thighs and skimmed over my hips easily. I found the zip and pulled it all the way up, then slowly buttoned the waistband with a swimmy feeling of disbelief. I still feel all shaky and disbelieving! They fit me! I'd like them a little more roomy, but basically, I have gone from a baggy, elasticated waist, loose-legged size 22 to a fitted size 16 in 3 months.

Hurrah for Dr. Atkins and hurrah for Callanetics! This is totally miraculous!

Oh thanks folks, for your generous replies. I'm still struggling to believe it! In fact, if I hadn't posted this "success" story yesterday, I'd honestly be checking out that it wasn't a dream.

Pisces123 - congratulations on your fantastic weightloss. Like you, I am full of enthusiasm (to the point of boring friends stupid ) I'm glad this forum is here so I can find like-minded people who can understand and scroll quickly.

Donna-Liz67 - thanks for posting your photos - it's so encouraging to see people's progress, even though I'm usually a bit tongue-tied with my congrats. You look great in all your pics.

Bye for now - and have a great day

Kirsteen

Dear PammieAnne,

Oooh I hope I hope ... Though I love those trousers so much that I might prefer to stay porky so I can keep wearing them..

Thanks for the encouragement. Onwards and downwards, as they don't say..

Have a nice day.

oh - you "guys" are just great - thanks for the encouragement.

I don't know how I'd have fared if I hadn't found this site. It has helped me so much to stay focused. Kisal, you are such an example and inspiration to me.

Keep on keeping on, everyone

Isn't that the truth. We almost get used to the way baggy clothes feel, and so when we start wearing clothes that actually FIT, they almost don't feel right!
so happy for you and the glorious way you are feeling, so well deserved. We can pretend it is easy, that the weight drops off. Neither is true. It is hard, and takes persistance and dedication. You gotta want it with a every part of your body and mind, and you girlfriend have shown everyone that YES we can do this.
CONGRATULATIONS
