4/23 strength day

10 minutes treadmill warm up

TRX suspension
Chest press
Rows
Squats
Overhead thingies
reverse rows
one other thing I don't remember

30 minutes Arc Trainer - strength program

Mood: very negative; at or near tears
Intensity: I didn't put much effort into it; I told M if it wouldn't cost me $1,600 I'd have walked out. I don't trust my arms to support me or my hands to hold on.

seated row 3x15 65#
lat pull down 3x15 35#

Intensity: high moderate (was really tired)

4/26 cardio day

30 minutes Arc Trainer, resistance 30 - for 20 of the 30 minutes I alternated between all-out (135-140 strides/minute) and moderate (70-75 strides/minute). This was a first for me - hitting 120+ strides/minute!!!

30 minutes treadmill, 1% ~ 3.3mph

Mood: upbeat; really tired so wasn't feeling much of anything
Intensity: max

4/27 strength day

Chest press 1x20, 1x15
Lat pull down 1x20, 1x15

4/28 cardio day

50 minutes Arc Trainer, weight loss program, resistance 20/25/35. During the 35 intervals I bumped the strides up to 100+/minute - 2 minutes at a time. This is two session on the Arc Trainer in a row that I bumped it up like that. Today - I was DRENCHED in sweat. Same as Thursday night. I did not manage to get it up over 113 strides/minute. Which is fine because I maintained it longer than on Thursday when I got it to 140 strides/minute.

Mood: upbeat
Intensity: max

5/2 strength day

Warmup treadmill
Stupid effing TRX Suspension training
5 minutes speed interval treadmill 2% 1.6/3.2mph

Mood: extremely negative. If I hadn't already brown the door, I'd have broken it tonight.
Intensity: lower than minimal. I didn't even try on the TRX. And after 5 minutes on the treadmill I walked out. Waste of my time.

Funny thing - trainer kept telling me how good I was doing on the the TRX. Hence why I don't believe ANYTHING he tells me.

I'm not able to go to the gym Friday or Saturday. in past weeks the trainer had me do 3 strength days and 1 cardio. This time only 2 cardio days. I suspect he's too busy to fit me in tomorrow. He said it was because cardio is better for weight loss - except that wasn't my goal for this stupid gym experiment. The ONLY effing reason weight loss came up was because he point blank asked me if I wanted to lose weight. What woman DOESN'T want to lose weight when she is fat????????? Funny thing - I WAS going to take my gym clothes this weekend and workout at the hotel. Well f that. I doubt I'll be back in the gym until Monday.

5/3 Strength & cardio

10 minutes warm up on Arc Trainer

Chest Press 3x15 ~ 30#
Seated Row 3x15 ~70#
Leg Press 3x20 ~150#
Leg Extension 3x20 ~50# (at position 10)
Leg Curl 1x20 ~ 40#, 2x20 ~ 50#
Shoulder Press 2x15 ~ 30#, 1x15 ~ 15#
Lat Pulldown 2x15 ~ 50, 1x15 ~ 40
Ab machine 1x20 ~ 70#, 2x20 ~ 80#
Back Extension 1x15 ~90, 2x15 ~ 95

60 minutes Arc Trainer, resistance 30, 93-110 strides/minute the entire time (604 calories). The goal was 750 calories in as short a duration as possible - that would have required 120+ strides/minutes for the entire 60 minutes. I didn't have that in me. This was the first time I've been able to maintain 90+ strides/minute for more than 2-3 minutes at a time.

Mood: good
Intensity: max
