Melilotus, that water weight usually drops off really quickly. It's just part of our normal fluctuations. But it's not the direction you want the scale to go, is it?
Jschwab, 20 pounds away! You're making such great progress. Maybe you'll be there by the end of the summer.
Mine has slowed over the last month. My weight jumped up after I went away for the weekend in May, and even though I've been on plan with eating since then, I'm just not seeing the same results. Still steady, just much slower. I've been much lazier about getting in my quick morning work-out and I wonder that was probably helping to drop my blood sugar a bit every morning, enough to make a difference. I really need to re-focus on that.
Maybe some nuts would be a good idea for portable snacks, too. You could roast them with some salt and the salt would be good to replenish if you're sweating a lot in the heat. If you portion them out into small ziplocs, you can make sure you don't go over-board with mindless eating. I like to snack on salami--I like it better than jerky and it's easier to find without sugar.
