I have been eating low carb since the first of the year. Decided it was time to get back into exercising.
This log/journal is mostly for me, but everyone is welcome to read and comment.
I have not exercised regularly in probably 20 years, except for walking the dogs.
The first entries here are probably going to be sporadic and pathetic.
If you are looking for an interesting and inspirational workout, this ain't it!

However, if you want to follow an out of shape 50 year old who suffers from arthritis, a bad back, hips and knees due to a auto accident, and chronic depression, welcome! Follow along as I attempt to begin to reclaim my body.

Here's today's entry:

Afternoon: Bike 1 mile....around the neighborhood...mostly flat

Note when I say bike I mean an actual bike out on the street...If I am in the gym I will say so...

Rode a mile this morning. Was going to attempt two, but glad I didn't...Got really winded going up the stairs after that one.

Didn't realize I had been sitting on my butt for over two weeks!

Walked a mile today with the dogs....in inappropriate footwear! My knee is throbbing...Only my Rykas from now on....

Biked one and a half miles today...Made it okay..less winded...already taken something for my knee though...
Hoping the adage "motion is lotion" is true, and that my knee will loosen up if I keep at this.

Got a kettlebell yesterday and have started doing some gentle upper body and arm workouts.

Haven't been out on the bike in awhile...Need to get back with it...It just trashed my knees and back last time though...May need to lose another 40 or so before it's anywhere near comfortable for me to ride.
