Flax meal is just ground flaxseeds. So I would suggest simply measuring the flaxseeds after you have ground them up.

I have pre-ground flax. Not flax seeds. Hence I was wondering if you knew how much flax seed in 1 cup ground flax

You can find it on the USDA site here. Just enter flax in the search box. On the next page that comes up select flax seeds. Then, a list will come up which includes a selection for ground flax. Click the box by that selection, and you will find the nutrient information. I used the data to enter flaxmeal in My P.L.A.N. as a Custom Food.

great! thanks. I had tried that before, but didn't go far enough to see there was a ground option available.

I tried the same for cumin seeds, but it didn't work for that one
