i did so well with no carb and after losing my target returned to carbs without wheat or sugar and kept it off for two years that way....this Christmas I fell off and now I am motivated to start again. I liked it because i could eat and had lotsa energy and no hunger...

Hi, Peter. You've come to a good place to find information and inspiration for a low-carb lifestyle. For starters, check out the Sticky posts at the tops of various threads on this site. If you are thinking of Atkins as your chosen plan, that would be a good Forum to look at.

Step Two: Read some books. I strongly recommend Why We Get Fat by Gary Taubes. This book discusses much of the history and science behind the low-carbohydrate dietary idea, and concludes with an excellent (and simple) diet plan.

Of course, if you're "doing Atkins" there's no substitute for reading a book written by Dr. Atkins himself, particularly Dr. Atkins's New Diet Revolution (commonly referred to here as DANDR) published in 1999/2002. You can find it in almost any used bookstore or online.

Then...go for it.

Best wishes.
