Jinx, that's a good link, I was only a 5 or 6. I didn't think I had burned out adrenal glands.

I'm glad for you. I'm firmly in the (27-56) Moderate to strong adrenal "stress gland" exhaustion signs category.

I'm in the slight to mild category, which is a relief to me. I was wondering how you were supposed to know if your adrenals were severely burned out, since Dr. S does make a distinction there.

I was 21. Mild to moderate. But I know 6 months ago my score was much higher. Just changing the way I eat and taking supplements has really healed many of the problems I was having. Just a few more to go, unfortunately they're being stubborn!!

As I thought my adrenals aren't burned out. I only scored 10. Good to know for sure though.

Thanks for the site. I now need to speak with my doctor and ask for at least another 128 tests.

Counted up to 42.

Worried.

I'm sleeping loads, tired. I'm trying to clean my house but end up either on the comp or snoozing in front of the telly. My house is gathering dust in the meantime!

Did the test - I'm at 32. I suppose I could drop a couple of points if I thought about the questions differently but then again I could probably add on another couple. I guess I just have to accept being moderatley to severely damaged.

I must say I like this test a lot better than the majority of these tests - so many of them have questions that almost anyone could say yes too. At least this one takes into account the severity of the symptom.

Thanks Jinx

I thought the same thing about my own answers, Koko. Went back and redid the test with my most conservative answers - still in the same category.

I just finished Dr. Wilson's book and it has extensive tests in it to determine Adrenal Fatigue.

One thing I noted is that this survey has a question about increased perspiration. My understanding is that in the early phases or adrenal fatigue, perspiration increases. But in more chronic adrenal fatigue, you stop perspiring.

For the questionnaire addicts, here's another one people can take.

Thanks Wanda. Love to check out the questionnaires!

Doesn't this look like it could be pointing to depression instead of JUST adrenal burnout? Questionnaires are really difficult to design when you're trying to pinpoint a diagnosis that fits only one condition. I've done it and it is not fun! Ok. Well, I thought it was fun but my co-authors weren't as amused.

Must start a new thread

Have a beiny beiny day

Hi Jinxy:

Yes, definately. But then depression is always an end result of chronic illness as we all know.

I hear ya! I've had to design a few of them myself only to be picked apart by my prof.

The Wilson questionnaire is pretty thorough, but even that one can't include everything. Going through all his info, I realized that I'd always had adrenal fatigue even as a kid. He talks about how a difficult pregnancy can cause adrenal fatigue in the fetus, creating a genetic-like component.

I was a twin born to a 40 year old mother. She had a difficult pregnancy and was hospitalized (and stressed) well before our birth. In fact, when I became an adult, she confided in me that she had wanted an abortion at one point b/c she was so sick. Anyway, we were born 2 months premature and both nearly died as well as my mother. After we were born, we were also placed in incubators.

But the questionnaire doesn't address this type of issue so I found it hard to answer much of it b/c it assumes a "before" and "after" situation.

Boy, that was a bit winded, huh?

WB

I would say absolutely! Good for you. I was concerned that some of the symptoms were vague enough (crave salt, constipation, weakness after colds and influenza...etc.) that some might get snared in the net who didn't belong there. I believe, however, that there are enough questions to rule that out. Just my opinion, for what it's worth. I would still stay with SP - seems like a good plan for prevention in these hectic and stressful times.

Have a great day!!

Ken, since you are a dedicated triathalete, I would have been surprised if you DID score high. Looks like you get to follow the Insulin Sensitive/Healthy Adrenals program.
