new thread is up so feel free to update your lines there.. I will be doing it as well so if you don't I will catch it
There are now the daily lines, the A-TEAM and the red line under your name for yout Atkins total losses. This I feel gives a really complete update weekly. YES, it can be annoying to see the ups but overall wee also see the fact that we have LOST a LOT OF FAT!..... here is a challenge fo someone ( CHRISSIE THIS IS RIGHT UP YOUR ALLEY??)
REmember the great facts of equivelents that Donna used to post??? HOW great would that be!!!! If I had a decent Internet I could do it but I am not that smart !

To brighten the day, I looked up weight equivalents for our losses since joining this team.

CRICKET - you have lost about 62 pounds: 60 pounds = an elephant's penis + 2 pounds = a rack of baby back ribs

KATHY - you have lost about 84 pounds: 80 pounds = the Worlds Largest Ball of Tape + 4 pounds = an ostrich egg

PAULETTE - I have lost about 66 pounds: 60 pounds = an elephant's penis + 6 pounds = a human skin

HIMI - you have lost about 50 pounds: 50 pounds = a small bale of hay

CHRISSIE - you have lost about 45 pounds: 40 pounds = an average human leg + 6 pounds = a human skin

BARB - you have lost about 25 pounds: 25 pounds = an average 2 year old child

JODI - you are up 1 pound: 1 pound = a Guinea Pig



Maybe next time I will look up our TOTAL lbs lost!

Still dropping, at least thru today-- today's weight probably factors in a bit of dehydration since I weighed after church around 2:30 and had not had time to eat/drink anything beforehand... but I'll take it! Might bounce up a bit tomorrow....

Cricket please elaborate on adding sodium--? Are you doing a sodium experiment, for any particular symptoms? I know in previous posts I have noticed you mention restricting sodium intake--

I personally dont have much trouble with sodium long term so I dont bother restricting it at all-- might see a temporary bounce from certain salty foods, especially if eaten later in the day-- but very temporary. overall I have MUCH less fluid retention (swollen hands and feet, puffy eyes etc) when I restrict carbs, even eating salt freely. figure this WOE/being in ketosis causes the body to flush out minerals including salt so as long as I am not having issues with it I keep on eating it (great excuse, since I like everything pretty salty!)

Sorry you are still cruisin, Chrissie-- I am rooting for a nice prolonged whooooosh for you.

Paulette I am so sorry for your frustrations! I am hoping for you that your body will give up already and let all that water/fluid go that it must be hoarding-- its just not possible for you to NOT be losing fat with your diligence!

Yep Kathy your observation about activity level but still being overweight/obese goes to show how damaging the typical American diet is for some of us-- and that staying active alone cannot counteract it.

WOW HIMI... 4 pounds in one week is GREAT!!! As for the salt/sodium... I have been in normal ranges and do not in general have anything salty since it does retain water for me.The reason I am adding sodium is that I am in the hot whirlpool for 20 mins twice each M/W/F and the pool for an hour on those days as well. That causes dehydraytion.. ever have pruny fingers??? Well, with that heat and exercise it is a good idea to add the sodium. That should keep my values in the normal range.

JODI lost a bit of the gain...down to 149.0 to end this game.

Who knew an elephant penis was so giant....

And an entire human skin is only 6 lbs? Would that be a dried and tanned skin? I would think a freshly skinned human skin would weigh a LOT more! With all the fat and fluids and stuff...and was this skin from a tiny female? Makes you wonder how they found this out!

A LADY ELEPHANT KNOW HOW BIG THEY ARE LOL!!!..and the skin is for just skin not the underlying tissues and adapose etc... as in for grafts.... I BET!!! It IS kinda ambigupous though!.. the human head I have been told is ave of 10 pounds though... I guess a package of bacon and a sack of sugar is 6 pounds??? 3 coffee cans??? ALL I KNOW is THANK YOOU for doing this!!!!
We still need to add up the game loss totals for the team and the Atkins totals..just waiting or the rest of the team to post
