Default I'm a newbie

Well, its Saturday, the weekend Last few days at work were really tough (read stressful) and my desire for that proverbial comfort food was in full throttle. I have been on LC now since 17 August (15 days), my weight decrease is 20 lbs. By whatever higher power that helped, I was able to not do the comfort food dance this week and so this morning I'm not depressed and sad, but still scared to death that the half gallon of ice cream is but a trip to the grocery store away. So, I decided to come looking this morning for websites that might help and then I find all of you here!! Whoever started this -- Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Thumbs up Welcome Mine

You've found a great site for information and support. Congrats on the choice, and on the weight loss. Keep up the great work ;D ; you'll soon find yourself wondering why you hadent been eating like this earlier. Those cravings for ice cream and sweets will lessen and eventually disappear. Please don't forget that you are responsible for not giving into those 'comfort foods', YOU made it work.

I look forward to hearing more of your successes!

Nat

Welcome to the forum Mine!

When things get tough, just come to the forum.

There will be many temptations on your low carb journey and you'll have some bad days. If you give in to temptation, just get right back on your plan and don't waste time feeling ashamed. It seems (for me anyway!) that making bad choices is the best way to learn. Now when I think of sugar. I get scared!
