Adrenal fatigue and /or thyroid?
I have had substantial stress from injuries/lawyers/doctors/work where I was injured. It has gone on for most of 18 months. My thyroid was very undertreated but I've recently gotten more medication. Trying to figure this thing out.
I have decent days and very bad days. My first morning temp is usually very steady but low 97.18.
The days I have bad stress, pain, fast, cool weather, my temps drop drastically. It takes days for my temps to get back to my low normal.
I am extremely tired every afternoon. It hits between 1pm and 3pm and I spend the rest of the day lying down.
I used to be on T3, I've tried adding in a small amount when I'm freezing or tired and get almost no reaction from it. This more than anything makes me think I might not have enough cortisol to increase my thyroid medication even if my dose is too low.
Just to complicate things I had very high reverse T3 in my past.
Any ideas? My drs on my insurance plan are so horrible with thyroid it is beyond belief. They have referred me to an endocrinologist but I haven't made the appointment because my thyroid treatment is the #1 thing pissing me off, now that my legal case has closed.
I saw the dr a couple of days ago, I suffered a moderate burn from scalding water and fainted. Somehow this came back to being a thyroid symptom as they said my thyroid is extremely high. My TSH is 0 always from hypopituitarism and they only test my T4 which was 76 with the normal range being 70-150. These drs on this plan are truly ridiculous with thyroid treatment.
