I figure it can't hurt to ask, someone might have ideas.

I got the symptoms of a bladder infection way back in Jan. of this year. Pain in my low abdomen, low back pain, had to pee often and lots of it. When my urine was cultured there was nothing there. The pain got worse and a few weeks later I had another urine culture. They left it by accident a day longer to culture and Strep B showed up.
Went on antibiotics. After the antibiotics the pain slowly came back until it was very bad again. I had 2 more urine cultures, both negative.

I have been taking natural antibiotics like sea salt, uvi ursi, and garlic and they all help take the pain away for a week or so. Then it comes back. I KNOW there is infection because I haven't been able to sleep since Jan - a tell-tale sign something is not right in my body. I have no more urgency or increase in urine though. Just lot's of stabby pain in my low stomach and incredible low back pain.

I also have sticky, white discharge here and there. I told my gyno, had a pap, and everything was normal. I believe without a doubt it's infection that is not showing on a regular culture. My doctor is at a loss .. and I am left to deal with pain and no sleep whatsoever with no diagnosis to go from.

My only hope is that low carb will starve whatever bacteria is causing it and the garlic, sea salt, etc. will kill the existing infection.

Any ideas?

As for Natural cures for bladder infections-- have you tried the concentrated cranberry tablets? What a person with a bladder infection needs to do it acidify the interior of the bladder to get rid of the infection. I don't get one often-- have had one about 3 times in my life, and when I feel it coming, I start popping cranberry pills every 4 hours or so. within a few days I don't have symptoms any more.

It could take up to several weeks to totally get rid of it.

I'd keep on with the doc. I've never heard a bladder infection w/ discharge so it sounds like it might be really advanced.

I always worry that the doctor works on what you tell him/her to do, and might not be trying to figure out what it is on their own. In other words, it might not be a bladder infection.

Could it be kidney stones?... my sister has these symptoms every now and again, and she has " sand " in her kidneys that flares up every now and again.

Have they scoped your bladder or checked the kidneys? I'm not sure what they do for kidney stones, ultrasound? Keep on the doctor, try to get a referral to a specialist.
