ME!!!!!!!

Stilll loving it! Still going 2 nights a week...sometimes 3! Unfortunately my favorite instructor is taking the summer off but she promises to return in the fall!! So in June I will have to find another class to attend....but I'm sure that won't be a problem!

What a great workout!

I looove zumba! I got mine off Amazon for pretty decent price. I just do the 20 min version a few times a week. I used to do an hour 3 times a week but stopped that for a while... need to build back up to that but it can be so hard!! Still fun tho :P

Gwen, if you wanting the live class go to Zumba.com and look under find instructor. type in zipcode and they should pop up.

I just the new exhilarate DVD's and they look very interesting. Haven't watched or done yet but reading up on it is peeking my interest.

Thanks about the belt. I have a few different ones depending on my mood. Yesterday I took about 1/2 dozen coin scarves to class--passed them out randomly to people and they had to wear them during class. They had a blast. It's fun to do. All the coins are tinkling and jinkling--and holy moly are the coins ringing when we do some fast hip shaking and shimmying It's a riot and the ladies LOVE it. Even the guys thought it was fun that the ladies were having so much fin with it. I think that's going to become a regular thing on Sat mornings. No one knows who will get a magic scarf!!!

Someone else asked me this. This is what I posted in my journal.

Quote:
Believe it or not...I don't do this with any regularity because I"m a lazy cow. I go thru cycles where I'm really dedicated--2-4 times a week. Right now I'm in the walk the dog Zumba cycle.

But this is all I do:

Yoga
Planks
1/2 planks
1 arm planks
1 arm 1/2 planks (I can only hold for like 2 seconds)
Tricep push-ups on a chair/bench
Push ups on a bench/chair
Tamilee's I want that body DVD--there are 2 10-minute routines--at different difficulty levels. I never use more than an 8-10 hand weight.

Walk the dog.

Ah, I'm still zumba-ing! The kids will be home after this week so I won't be able to exercise my current way, so I gave up 2 personal training spots with pilates this summer but I won't give up zumba! I'll take them to work weights this summer on my pilates days, and leave them home to sleep in twice a week on my zumba days. Then, one or two zumbas are available on the weekends.

I bought the latest DVDs but haven't used them yet since I think the classes are so much more fun, but wanted them just in case my summer schedule goes awry.

Planks are the form used for pushups from the toes. Hands on floor shoulder width apart, feet together with toes on floor. Body is straight from feet to shoulders.
