Default Fat Flush Soup

Just wanted to post this cause I love the taste of it. I got it from the fat flush book and is called Rose's Fat Flush Soup. I do it for lunch just about every day.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef or turkey
16 ounces Muir glen tomato puree
1/2 onion chopped
1 cup spinach chopped
1 cup green beans, chopped
2 garlic cloves
1/2 medium, green pepper, chopped
1/2 medium red pepper, chopped 1 stalk celery, chopped

Then:
Brown ground beef in a skillet till no longer pink
Drain fat
place all ingredients in a large pot
cook over low-medium heat for about an hour.

Instead of the puree I just pureed 4 italian tomatoes togeather. I have been to 3 stores and could not find them. It is not ALOT of juice, but is filling and tastes great. I didn't chop all the veggies real small either. I got 6 bowls out of it.

I did try this with the puree and it made more juice. I guess it all depends on what you like. I like more of a stew consistancy, but you can make it the way you want. I also added more spinach.

Winter is coming and this will be just the thing for me. Between this and the fat flush italian wedding soup, I'll stock up my freezer in about a month.

hi there,

I have both the Fat Flush Plan book and the Fat Flush cookbook. Neither book offers carb counts or nutrient data, since that program doesn't require carb counting. However, you can easily enter the ingredients into fitday to determine the nutrient values for the whole recipe, then enter it as a Custom food. I opened a separate fitday account just for recipes

hth,

Doreen

Thanks Dorren I couldn't come up with the exact carb count but trust me it is low, there isn't much in the soup but it was filling. I get betwwen 4-6 servings from this soup mainly because I use an entire bag of spinach, and the carb count for that was "0".

Smile fat flush soup

The spinach I have here is 3 grams of carbs for the entire bag, so it can't be to much with everything else in the soup when you break it down. If you have fear of the carbs from the spinach you can use less. Depending on what diet I am following at the time determines how much I put in. If I am on fat flush I use the entire bag, if I am on another I use less. It is all up to you and what you are doing.
