Default Just found out I am having TWINS!

Well...I was on the LC diet for 3 months and got pregnant after 8 months of trying. Yesturday we found out we are having twins. Needless to say, I am thrilled and shocked! I guess LC really worked well for me!

Congratulations. There are a few women on the board who have twins, you may want to seek them out. A twin pregnancy is very diffrent from a single birth.

Congratulations! Check out allibaba's journal; she is pregnant with twins right now herself. Are you trying to stick with LC now that you're pregnant? I attempted it, failed miserably and gained too much weight. My little girl is almost 4 months old by now and I still have 13 pounds to lose to get to pre-pregnancy weight!

Can you find out what kind of twins? I'm a fraternal twin; my bro Kyle is 18 minutes older

Congrats - how exciting! My mom absolutely loved being pregnant with twins -she still describes it as walking around with not one, but TWO lovely presents!

We are pretty sure it is fraternal but I have my high definition scan next week to be sure. I can't follow low carb right now. I am pretty sick with morning sickness and have some serious food avertions. My DR said at least 2700 calories a day and if I had to stick to under 80 or so a day, I couldn't make it. I have NO energy at all as it is. I know I have been so true to my LC way of life, but I really need to concentrate on eating healthfully in a higher carb way right now for energy. I have a lot to worry about as it is. I haven't gained that much weight yet...about 2 lbs in the first two months. I dno't think that is bad considering I have gone from eating 20 carbs a day to eating over 120 carbs a day.

Congratulations! I am a twin myself. I wanted twins until I had my first. Then I cannonized my mother as a saint! Good luck to you. Rest, stay off your feet, and enjoy the pregnancy.

Congrats! I am a mom to 8 yr. old fraternal twin girls and 4 other children as well- so there is life after twins and even MORE children sometimes !
My oldest is 10 and was barely over 2 when my twins were born- and it was QUITE rough w/3 sets of diapers going
- but now with a 1 yrgl, 3 yrby, 5 yrgl, twin 8 yrgls, and 10 yrby - I must say my twins are my BEST helpers and SUCH a Blessing!! They do dishes, laundry, babysit, clean, etc... oh and did I mention they even like to give mom a foot massage!
And to think there once was a time when I didn't know how I'd make it!
So what a DOUBLE BLESSING!! CONGRATS! CONGRATS!
