But the doctor has increased the dosage from 1 30m a day to 1 1/2 and then to 2 a day. I still feel no side effects of the extra dosage. I will go for tests again next week.
What I am wondering is--could it be that I have a small goiter that is causing my body not to use the thyroid? Could it be that if this is true that having the thyroid removed wold solve my problems/
I haven't been able to lose weight in many years even though I low carb and lately have been very strict with it. I also have other symptoms like dry skin, hair falling out, brittle nails, always cold, etc.
Thanks

Not sure about goiters but Reverse T3 can cause euthroid patients (patients who have symptoms but not the obvious test results) to have hypo symptoms that do not get better or sometimes get worse if you increase meds.
I would check out realthryoidhelp.com , rt3-thyroid.com and holtorfmed.com to learn about RT3
