Default Confession: I went on a 2.5 year "lost weekend" :(

Hi....
I'm here again after a small slip.

I did Atkins for 4 years. I went from 252 to 200 and kept it off.
Not one bit of sugar or excess carbs in that whole 4 year period. I went to weddings, events of all kinds...nothing bothered me...no cravings at all.

It was easy.....or so I thought.

One day a friend made a Key Lime Pie....I thought only one piece wouldn't hurt...

Here I am 2.5 years later and close to 300 lbs.

I'm back; ready to eat correctly and lose weight. I'm 50 now and the difference between low carb and senseless eating could be a heart attack or diabetes....

I now know that there is no such thing (for me) of just a little....

I'm glad to be back....

Welcome Back. You sure have come to the right place.

I'm 54 and started LC a year ago when I realized that weight loss would do more than just make me look better. Heart disease, stroke, diabetes as well as the discomfort that obese people have all day long.

You're back, ready to eat well and you'll do great!

Thumbs up

Welcome home!!!
I did the same (4 years off the wagon) but now it's good to be back.
The thing is, we all know this way of eating works, it's just sometimes you imagine you're missing out, which doesn't have to be true with all the low-carb products out there now.
Keep us posted on your success!
Lou
