Another question, if I may. For the past week or so, I haven't been getting the notifications of new posts in threads I've subscribed to. I've checked my User CP and it's still set for daily notifications. Any suggestions?

On a similar note, I've stopped getting my "instant email notifications" on the threads where I've used this feature. Any ideas?

Hi tamarian - yes, it's ongoing. I haven't had any notifications for almost 3 weeks, and IslandGirl mentioned to me a couple of months ago that she hadn't been getting them and couldn't figure out why not. Yesterday, I deleted the oldest and the inactive threads hoping it might help - doesn't seem to have done any good.

I just got a notice from the webmaster that my emails have been bouncing back so I changed my email address and then got a notice to activate.
I'm also checking with my ISP as to why these emails are bouncing back at all.
I'm very confused about this.

I have my subscriptions set to give me instant email notification of new posts. That worked fine for about 18 months, and has now stopped working. I got a private (automated) message here, from the forum, that it's no longer sending me email notifications because it's had too many bounces. My email address is the same, so I asked my ISP, who gave me some useless suggestions and washed its hands of me. I'll pursue this further with them, and meanwhile, I ask for your help in receiving my notifications. Thanks!

I'm very sorry to have had to do this but I had to register under a different name( I am Judynyc) to be able to communicate with you. I've written several emails to the webmaster since Monday and have not been answered at all.
I don't understand what the problem is
I'm trying to be patient as I think that this must be a glitch in the system.
A response will help this. Would someone please respond?

I attempted to change back to my old email under my original name, Judynyc, and got locked out of the forum completely. I can't get back in at all.
If there is a problem, I'd really appreciate knowing what it is.

I can help you get back into your original account .

Here's what you need to do now ...

1. log out from this sobefriend account
2. click the forgotten password link .. http://forum.lowcarber.org/login.php?do=lostpw .. and enter the email address that you used for this new sobefriend account. I've switched Judynyc to that address, and disabled it for the new one .
3. be sure to click the link in the activation email as soon as you get it, as it will expire in 24 hrs (safety feature).

Once you've successfully logged in as Judynyc, I'll delete sobefriend, just to avoid any confusion in the future.

There's still no change. I haven't had any emails from this site since May 4th. I sure hope we can come to a solution!

I had to change my email address and now I am getting them.
They do not come the same way nor are they "instant" as they seem to come about 12 hours after and I've already read the message.

Thanks Judy, I didn't want to have to do that but, I guess if I must, I must. I'll go get a gmail addy right now.

OK - done (I think) - we'll see tomorrow morning if it worked!
