Talking Hello Everyone

Started Atkins72 April 24th. Going to give it a try as Atkins has worked for me in the past. Have lost 13 pounds so far. Having a little trouble eating fresh food especially at breakfast and lunch and have been eating deli turkey and cheese most days. First couple days i was eating hard boiled eggs but that got boring fast. Looking for suggestions that are easy.

How do I update my weight?

CHeck out the recipe section for ideas that work for you.

Perhaps a salad with shredded chicken on top. Or tuna salad instead.

baked chicken with nuked green beans--see if you like it cold

Invest in tupperware type containers to help your lunch travel.

As for breakfast, we tend to have non-traditional foods for breakfast, meaning a lunch item or dinner items.

Otherwise my boys usually skip breakfast, the same as myself, M-F. They have early lumch at school 10:30-11, and I try to eat after 12noon

Look for low carb bread substitutes---to make sandwhiches. MANY on the market today.

Welcome Kelly,

There are two Atkins '72 Buddy groups that I know of
This one has many great starting tips on the first page.

This one is active, would be a good place to ask for ideas.

Like Arielle, I might eat dinner leftovers or skip breakfast having only two coffees with a total of 2T heavy cream. For recipes, consider making a large egg casserole and simply re-heat a slice.** Many in the recipe section here or at DietDoctor, using only the strict or Ketogenic level recipes. https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/keto/recipes

**I had six house guests for a long weekend, and used this classic recipe based on a dozen eggs and cup of cream. I lightened the meat heavy recipe by using only bacon and a variety of more fresh vegetables lightly sautéed in bacon fat. As everyone woke, it was heat and eat if they wanted eggs. http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/early_rise_breakfast.html

All the best,
