Default weak nails and hair loss...

At first, I thought I was seeing benefits in my nails, at any rate. But now they are very thin and brittle and I'm getting a little worried about the amount of hair in my hair brush every single morning. I am hypo-thyroid (and one of my first symptoms was hair and nail problems) but my blood tests show everything is fine on that front. I've tried taking Kelp supplements for the iodine, but it isn't making much difference. Anything else I might be missing?

gelatin and bone broths (you know, the good kind where you simmer the bones for at least 24 hrs and use some kind of acid like acv or lemons to help get all the goods out of the bones)
