Well, I agree with washing fruits and vegetables, but only because of all the pesticides that farmers use nowadays, plus the fact I have no idea whose touching the fruit or vegetable before it winds up in my mouth. But I only wash it under running water, not with any special cleaning product. I remember watching a report on TV where they took Fit (some product for washing fruit and vegetables) and they compared it with just plain tap water, and they found that tap water was just as good as washing fruits and vegetables as Fit was.
Seems logical to soak food in GSE for yeast, fungus, or mold, but I must admit I've never done it and I'm o.k. Guess you should just do whatever works for you.
