Hello,

I have never actually done an on-line challenge, what type of "goals or milestones" would you like to track? I wear a FitBit, we could connect up through that if you are a walker. I have a bit more weight to lose then you but will be glad to buddy up.

Let me know.

Kathy

Sure, checking in each day works for me.

You will very quickly see that I am THE MOST BORING EATER IN THE WORLD! (sorry for shouting). I (my Mom really) fixes all of my meals on Sunday afternoon and then I just take them from the frig to the microwave and enjoy.

Today:
B - 2 hard-boiled eggs and 2 slices of bacon
L - serving of beef and broccoli casserole and ~15 grape tomatoes
D - (will be) serving of pork loin and asparagus and cauliflower
Steps so far - 6,000 (goal is minimum 8K but shoot for 10K)

I only drink water. I have never drank coffee or tea. It is either water or when I am off plan, Mt. Dew. I also try not to snack since that is a trigger for me. My current eating plan has enough protein that my hunger is mostly under control so snacking has not been an issue.

Some background on me, 54 year old, weight issues almost all of my life, have lost 100 lbs probably 3 time in my adult time but never learned to keep it off. I am two years out from retirement and I refuse to be fat when I am old so I am trying once again. You can see my stats in my profile.

Talk to you tomorrow.

Kathy

You're not alone! I had Malibu Rum and pineapple juice ... too many of them too... so, now I'm just trying to detox.

Today is back to the drawing board and day one of refocusing on the meal plan. I keep things pretty simple in that area though ...

Tonight's dinner plan is just a "mexi-meatza".. ground beef with a little bit of taco seasoning and melted shredded cheese. ... very yummy stuff actually!

Down from 195 to 191 today.. so nice that things are moving in the right direction

I do the IF plan which is intermittent fasting ... ie: no food until until 4 or 5pm .... some ppl can't do that due to medical conditions .. but my body actually thrives on that WOE... so.. just the one meal a day for me.

1st day was the mexi-meatza ... a full pound of burger (by the way )

2nd day was deviled egg salad .. 4 boiled eggs diced up and mixed with mayo, honey mustard, dill relish, salt, pepper and paprika.. topped off with real bacon bits.

3rd day... crunchy baked chicken strips.. 3 boneless skinless pieces... (couldn't decide which type of mustard to baste on them so I did one each: honey mustard, dijon, and last was sweet and spicy mustard (only 1g carbs in them).. .then i crunched up some of those dried french onions and "breaded" them with that.. baked them all up and had them dipped in some ranch dressing .... they were all amazingly delicious ... best meal so far!!

Congrats on the weight loss. Those are great numbers!

I can do the IF when I am home all day on weekends but there is something about the routine of my work day that revolves around eating times. I typically have 2 meals a day on Sat/Sun (usually skip mid day meal). I do like the feeling I get from IF, that really empty feeling makes me feel lighter and weirdly enough, cleaner inside. Hard to explain.

This week I am having 2 eggs and sausage for breakfast; chicken thigh and some broccoli/cauliflower casserole for lunch; and salad for dinner. No snacks and lots of water. I can eat the same thing over and over again. Food is not that exciting to me and that's ok.

Kathy
