Here is a Protein Shake recipe from my book...."The 30 Day Low Carb Solution":

Protein Powder, any flavor
1 oz of heavy cream
1 packet of Splenda (if desired)
8 oz. cold water or SoBe Lean
1 cup of ice

Blend until thick. Use as many scoops necessary of the protein powder to make your protein requirement. You can also substitute the cold water for any 0 calorie beverage, but avoid those sweetened with aspartame. Good choices include herbal fruit teas, Tazo iced teas, and Diet RC. If you use SoBe rather than water, make SURE you use LEAN.

I had one myself as a snack for the first time tonight using just cold water, and it was pretty good and very filling :-)

Word of caution -- protein shakes are good for a filler or when you need something quick, but not a good idea to incorporate as a regular part of the diet.

Since you are sick of eggs/bacon, LOL, here are a couple more breakfast recipes I have:

Breakfast Burrito w/Cream Cheese

1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 oz. cream cheese
3 or 4 fresh strawberries
1 large LC tortilla

The night before:

Blend cottage cheese, cream cheese, and strawberries in blender until creamy.

Place mixture in a strainer, lined with a coffee filter and allow to drain in the fridge overnight.

To serve:
Warm tortilla on hot griddle for 15 seconds on each side.
Place cheese and fruit mixture in the center of the warmed tortilla
Roll and serve seam side down.

Total carbs: 10 g
Total protein: 16 g

Paleolithic Punch

1 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries (unsweetened)
1/2 to 1 cup water
1 packet Splenda (optional)

Place all ingredients into a heavy duty blender and process until smooth and slushy. Being with 1/2 cup water and add more water to thin, if necessary.

Makes two servings. 7.9 grams of carb, .7 of protein per serving.

I like this shake...

Frozen Berries (I like straberries with a few blackberries tossed in)
Heavy cream/half & half (not too much)
Water
Splenda
Splash of vanilla

Dont have quantities as I do everthing by eye. But I take a handful or so (about 1 cup) of halved strawberries. 1/2 to 1 cup water. Couple of splashes of cream or half & half (like 1/4 cup). 2 pkts splenda. 1 tsp vanilla. I pop it in the blender and let it rip. Cause it's for breakfast you could add in a few things to make it more of a substantial meal like some protein powder or a big spoonful of silken tofu.

Thank you =) I find it pretty damn good. Only thing extra I like to do is strain out the shake cause I can't stand seeds in it and blackberries i've noticed have a ton of seeds. But that's just me =) Maybe you puree the berries and water first them strain then add back to the blender and add the tofu and etc.

Good luck with it =)
