Default Just finished my first Whole 30!

Hi all!

Just finished my first Whole 30, and I have to say it went really well. I feel fantastic over all, lost 12 inches, and dropped 17 pounds. I will definitely be staying Paleo for the time being, with a few Primal dips! hehe

Thanks all!! Made my first deviation from the strict Paleo this weekend when I had a few drinks on Saturday night. We'll see the impact at my weigh in tomorrow. Trying to stay 90-10 strict Paleo right now, and will see how that works for me the next few weeks.

Thanks for mentioning whole 30, I started implementing the changes the last two days, I wasn't going to officially start till tomorrow though because of a birthday party today but I lost 2.4 lbs already. I didn't expect much because I have been low carbing for a few weeks now.

Obviously, the sweeteners, the little bit of dairy, and nut butters I was consuming where holding me back. Thanks, again.

I cooked some recipes from nom, nom paleo and clothes make the girl and my family loved them and I felt full with no cravings at night. Even with Chips and sweets left in the house from a party.

Thanks! I feel hopeful. I was getting discouraged because I have a lot of family, money stress right now and needed something positive. I feel like I can lose weight and maintain for the first time.

wow! So awesome!

I've been eating paleo for 17 days now but still doing cheese and butter, something I'm ending at the end of this month to go 'whole 30'

WOW! I just came across this thread. FANTASTIC JOB, Myke! Gee, you've lost a tremendous amount of weight! Good on you! I've just started eating Paleo and began my first ever Whole30 on August 16th. Doing OK so far. No problems as yet. KUTGW!

Thanks all! And how's your Whole 30 going Peggy?? I just finished reading the Hartwig's book and it is really fantastic. I am still relatively compliant with the Whole 30 most of the time, with a few deviations every so often. May do a second Whole 30 soon to get me into the fall!

It's going OK, Myke. I'm basically just giving up artificial sweetener and dairy during this first W30. I've already given up everything else, having done Atkins for 3 years.

I haven't read the Hartwigs' book yet. Plan to though. What I've learned about Paleo was mostly following Mark's Daily Apple the past 2 years and just overview reading on the Whole9/30 website and forum this month. Just finished reading Dr. Davis' Wheat Belly last month. Don't care for his writing style, but his message was resounding for me. Giving up the flour I MUST do.

Continued good fortune with your Paleo program!
