I don't know if these were always there and I just never noticed them - but you can buy hot cooked gammon joints at the hot food deli counter of both Tesco and Sainsburys. The one at Sainsburys cost £2.50, and at Tesco I think it was £2. And that is for a LOT of fatty, piggy heaven! The label just said preservatives and pork so I don't think it was coated in sugar.

Good for a quick lunch on the go if you don't mind looking like a caveman and chucking half away (or taking it home for dinner!)

They also had a whole rack of BBQ ribs for £2.99 - but the label for that said 15% BBQ sauce, so that might be a bit carby. And a whole range of chicken drumsticks / kebabs etc that all looked very good.

Anyway - just in case I'm not the only one who's never noticed this before!!
