Default What does this mean?

After reading about Candida in DANDR, and having completed about 1 month of LC, I recently (three days ago) started taking Twinlabs Yeast Fighers in the evenings.

Today I felt very strange. It's hard to describe, kind of dissociated, almost like a mild alcohol buzz that never goes away. I am extremely fatigued, my limbs feeling heavy, and kind of numb (not exactly numb but, well, something).

Is this related to the Candida or am I coming down with something? If it is Candida related, how long does this go on? I can barely function....

Thanks for any input.

Hi! Sorry you are feeling so bad, it sounds like a die off reaction to me. I went through it, and experienced just what you described. It will get better. When the yeasts die off, they give off methanol, which gives you a "hungover feeling." This could last anywhere from a few days, to a few weeks. Taking some extra vitamin C helped me quite a bit. I experienced the severe die-off for about 2 weeks. Then moderate symptoms for about 2 more. Trust me, you will feel so much better when you kill all that stuff off, it is worth it.

I would like to suggest that you also pick up something called GSE, grapefruit seed extract. Get the liquid form if you can find it. It is inexpensive, and works well to kill off the yeast. Switch off between the GSE and the Twinlab Yeast Fighters. The yeast can become immune to what you are taking.

Good luck and take care of yourself!

-Denise

Thanks Denise, I'll try the GSE.
