Post Hello Everyone

Hi there,
just wanted to introduce myeslf as I started SB today. I did Atkins back in 2003 for 2 months and lost lot of weight (176 to 156) and had my tyep II diabetes in control but then have been gaining weight ever since and now am at my worst weight ever.
Part of the difficutly is that I am from Pakistan so my daily food consisted of typcial pakistani/indian food which is very very heavy on bread and rice and my portions...well let's just not talk abut that.
So am back again and this time am really determined to make this change for life.
I am very glad for this webpage and all of you who are contributing it to and providing support to each other.

Hi Tash, Welcome to the Beach.
You should consider starting a journal. Most of here at the beach log our meals there. Have you found the food lists and meal plan its located at the top of this thread in the sticky. These are from the official SB online site. Judy was kind enought to bring them here for us to use. Also check out the SB Babes thread, I know it says Babes but you will more than welcome there too. They do a weekly weigh in.

Hope you have a great 1st week.

Welcome to the beach! I've really liked SBD (and I HATED atkins when I tried it several years ago). So hopefully this will work out for you, like Atkins did. Let us know if you need help! Good luck!
