Hi Leslie

Nice to see a registered dietitian on "our side" for a change!

I exercised like made for 2 years and didn't lose a single pound and I still had high blood pressure. I stopped exercising except for one weekly dance class and went low carb and dropped 40 lbs. I also now have blood pressure readings I haven't seen since high school

Yes, welcome.

And because you're a Registered Dietitian certified by ADA I think you would enjoy looking at Taubes' book. Good Calories, Bad Calories: It's very readable.

Have you read it?

Excellent reading suggestion. With your background, you will really enjoy it...when it doesn't totally piss you off

Cuz, she's new. Actually, I enjoy reading older threads, and frequently it's the result of a newbie joining doing a lot of reading. Hers is a great post, I hope she continues so we can all learn.

I like finding old threads bumped up every once in a while, but this one is just plain strange.

I don't think RandaHW did much after that 11/27/05 post. Two posts here, then splitsville.

The original poster hasn't been here in six years.

Dr. Eric C. Westman has done a lot more research since '03... take a look around here and you'll find a ton of newer information.

How do you think that most people ever find this forum?

By doing a search at google -- and google will retrieve posts from any time, even the first weeks, way back when.

I think it's rude to embarress new posters with all this impolite "heckling."
