Unhappy fitday.com

I need help! I tried fitday.com for a recipe that was posted. The post said 6 grams of carbs but fitday says 11.2. Am I doing something wrong? Are there any secrets to using fitday?

Thanks

Default

I had to modify a lot of recipes in fitday. One problem I had with it at first was the default serving size, I would have a tablespoon of sour cream on something and it would default at a cup and I didn't notice the first few times, thought I was way over my carbs, the other thing it does not do is figure net carbs, maybe that is where the extra carbs are coming from???

Default I thought of that

Hi, thanks for the help, but I think I have the portion sizes right. I was surprised to see that cinnamon, Splenda and Pumpkin Pie Spice have more than a trace of carbs. Maybe the original poster did not include those.

Default Have the same problem

...but I found out I was not eating enough carbs....The FitDay programme shows carbs and also fiber. To get net carbs you have to deduct fiber from carbs. (As mentioned in DANDR digestible carbs) If your carb count is 30 and your fiber is 15, then the net carb is 15. That's what I've been told. Neat ! FitDay is not made for Dr. Atkins, so I guess that's why.

I have a problem with the oz and cup and measurements also, - if you look at my FitDay you'll find a lot of 0.25 and 0.33 and 0,75 cups ! I think it's a hassle filling it in every day. But I have to do it to keep track. Turns out I'm not eating enough carbs AND calories ! It's so difficult to eat enough !
