ya, now she's freaked because a brand of cheese with it (Ivanhoe) has been on her sammies since she couldn't have the deli meats.

She's terribly sick today. I hope all is okay.

I guess that's part of the problem, we don't cook deli meats and cheese.

I used to buy Ivanhoe. That freaked me a bit, but I know the chances of being T-boned at an intersection is higher (what nice, comfy thoughts, eh?)

Well there was the tainted spinach, then the cantaloupe, then the tomatoes, now the deli meats....

Ya, so how do you cook a mushroom properly?

I was just being silly.

There's a lot of people in my circle talking food saftey these days.
Makes me less tempted to eat out, that's for sure.

I've totally stopped buying deli meats for the time being. Seems that at every turn, there's *something* out there that can kill you.

Actually, most people are so much more comfortable in their homes, they forget to wash their hands thoroughly after handling packages (stuff could be on the outside, definitely in the fluid on the inside, etc.) and end up transferring to pots and pans (handles), cutlery and cooking ware, counters and sinks. It's not just eating out that's risky, and not just processed foods either.

I think most people should take a basic FoodSafe course, and it should definitely be taught in school.
