Default the closer I get to goal the more I binge

I am 124 lbs and 5 foot tall, think I have 15ish pounds to lose, tho am not sure. I still look pretty fat with massive legs and tum. No muscle tone anywhere. In the last month I have really been struggling to stay to my woe. I just keep binging and now I just feel like I will never hit my goal and at this point in time I feel I am going to start gaining soon, if I haven't already. I feel absolutely huge.

I've been in therapy for my perfectionist driven behaviour and thinking; I still have to work on it and no doubt that is part of the issue here.

Anyone have advice or any thoughts? feeling so down about this.

If your not already you may want to exercise, it sounds like you would like to put on some muscle or tone up

I agree. maybe exercise now you are nearly at goal it may help keep you motivated and certainly help with definition,,you dont have to go mad, just maybe some power walking,or bike riding...i think it would help get back into it mentally..good luck..

Just a thought... Have a think about what foods are triggering the binge. Personally, I have discovered that I cannot have caffeine, as it's a slippery slope which leads to chocolate. Maybe there's a particular food which is your trigger, and if you identify it, then you can cut it out.

Also, how about starting to listen to some of Jimmy Moore's podcasts? They're great to provide extra motivation.

I'd also suggest that you buy Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution and lower your daily carbs to about 25g, sticking to his induction lists. Once you move onto OWL, you can introduce foods one at a time.. If you feel that you need a break from the diet, then you could move into the pre-maintenance part of his diet, and stay on that for a while. I eat a Paleo type diet while doing Atkins - it's very much in keeping with his food philosphy, even though his is primarily an insulin controlling diet, which makes a huge difference to the ability to lose weight and avoid cravings.

Good luck.

I'm reading "Life is Hard, Food is Easy", and I can see the effect - I am less likely to succumb to overeating much of the time now. Might be worth a read.

I bought it used for $3+, shipped for $3+, so under $8.
