Question Feeling mean and sorry

I have been so crabby lately. I can admit it now, I work at a place where everyone is so friendly. That's not the bad part, the bad part is all of the cookies and treats that everyone brought in and passed around last week. The thick home made chocolate chip cookies, the candy, the other homemade goodies. I was able to not eat any, but everyone, and I mean everyone around me did. My friends, who are on the South Beach diet even said that they were just breaking there diets for the rest of the year, and eating everything that was set in front of them. I almost gave in a few times, but made it. (I am on vacation until Jan. 3rd) I have been so crabby though. The only thing that has made it worth it, was I pulled out a pair of jeans that just 2 weeks ago, (size 8) I couldn't even get up over my butt, and put them on this morning They are still tight, but I didn't care if I had to butter my thighs to get them on, I was going to make myself feel like it was worth it to not eat all of the goodies. Now, I just have to figure out a way to make it up to people. (the fact that I was a total Bitch). Any suggestions??

Congrats on your weight loss and not giving into temptation!!

I tell people I'm sorry for being so crabby and that I had an off day or week or whatever. Most people tell me they didn't notice.

Awesome job in staying on track!

As to what to say to them, tell em it was that time again?
(Don't hurt me! )

You just posted the biggest reason so many people actually gain wight while on a "diet" and why so many people claim that "dieting" doesn't work for them.

It s the same way with excersise, if someone buys an excersise bike and never uses it, and never loses weight, it's not the bikes fault!

I say some of this knowing full well I used have the willpower of a starving dog in a meat cooler.........and still occasionally battle with that monster!

Make those pants fit, and possibly have a healthy treat stowed away where you can indulge healthfully while they eat pure crap...

Do that and you will thank yourself for a long and healthy life, and imagine how happy you will be when those size 8's are loose!

Envy is a killer. It's hard to get rid of it. At least you're on the right track by turning it around - as you loose even more weight, people will envy both your body and your willpower. Much better than envying people's ability to go off their diets.

When you really think about it, how enviable is eating junk food?
