Double Success
My wife and I started low carbing after going on holiday with friends last November and talking with the husband who had been low carbing following the Atkins plan. We bought the Atkins diet book for a mere £4.99 and started. Working in the meat trade was a bonus as I love meat and when I got hungry I just ate some cooked meat. Christmas was a little tough but not too bad. I restricted myself to 1 mince pie and 1 sausage roll! After xmas we started taking sea kelp on the advice of a friend and this gave us another boost in the right direction. By late Febuary we acheived our goals and I have lost 38lbs whilst my wife has lost about 32lbs. We both feel great and look great. The only down side is I'm having to buy a new wardrobe as I've lost 4 inches from my waist. Maintaining our weight up to now has been easy. We have introduced several foods back in but obviously restricting the amounts and frequency. I will not be eating any bread in future as I found this always seems to give me chronic indigestion. I will be avoiding flour products as much as possible. I have introduced the odd potato. We eat lots of nuts as a snack.
Looking back it was relatively easy as long as you are disciplined and do not give in to temptation of eating the wrong things. If you have any specific questions give me an e-mail.
