Amy Berger has a short series on "truth about weight loss" and this part 3 is on Thryoid. A "quick and dirty" summary of thyroid impact, posting as a topic in this sub-forum as well.

I just read that....oh my gosh!! I changed from armour to a compounded after getting test results that I knew were going to be bad. I can't even think about losing weight...I gain a little at a time and it is driving me crazy. Been on the new med almost 2 months....but she didn't up it...I guess just to see if the compounded would work.

My tsh was 7.375 uiu/ml .340-05 range
my ft4 was .54 ng/dl .66-1.65
my tt3 was 1.02 ng/ml .60-181

I feel a little better, but I know she needs to up my medicine. I finally found a place to get naturethroid! Yay.... This is a new doc, so it sucks, she doesn't know me. I am gonna make an apt next week!!

Oh and I have been fine for years!!! Never lost down to what I wanted, but I wasn't gaining...being the goal.

My tsh was 1 or under until my armour stopped working around springtime....course my docs won't do all the test.
