It may well be, but you didn't miss a whole lot IMHO.

It was a repeat of a programme that was on here a couple of years ago. Last time they showed it in 2 parts, on Catalyst.
Basically they came up with the conclusion that low carbers lose weight because they (we) eat fewer calories. I find that odd because there have been 2 studies that I know of that showed low carbers lost the same amount of weight as low fat dieters while eating on average 300 calories more daily.

They also "proved" that appetite is decreased by adding protein, and increased by adding fat. But as they had the people eating more fat also eating a high carb diet, it hardly proved anything.

They did manage to show that people on Atkins not only lose weight, but also stay healthy, citing a study that showed cholesterol profiles of people on Atkins improved.

But they had to end with a doctor saying that the evidence isn't in, and that he would never advise anyone to follow such a diet. Just couldn't bring themselves to admit that low carbing is indeed a healthy way of eating.

Here's a link to some discussion last time it aired, and it includes a link to a transcript of the first half.

Thankyou Roz,
I am not a fan of high fat eating as it really upsets my tummy (poor little princess that I am.) It makes me mad when Doctors won't address the real issues of low carbing.
