Dump the nicotine gum completely. This will get easier I promise. I guit 1/16/05 and relapsed a couple times but am strong. The gum just extends your misery.

Take space from everyone, buy cinnamon gum to chomp on and keep on rocking! You can do this!

I agree with Gawdess on this one. The longer you chew it the longer your dragging it out. Try alternating a nic gum then a regular sf gum stick. Good luck.

Thanks buddy!

I fully admit I am an addict (food, cigs, etc) and figured out that I was using the gum as a way to hold on to my addiction. I replaced my addiction to the cigarrettes and that i then had to quit the gum too.

Dont get me wrong, the gum does have a purpose....I think it works well for the first couple weeks when you are getting over the lifestyle change piece but thats about it. I found after week three I began abusing the gum because of the nicotine content.

Think of your quitting as a journey and become devoted to it. If you fall pick yourself up and keep going. If you need to cry, do it. If you need to lock yourself away from everyone for awhile, do it.
