Default Dr. Aseem Malhotra speech to Parliament

Posted by Ivor Cummins:

CARDIOLOGIST ASEEM MALHOTRA SLAMS GOVERNMENT DIETARY ADVICE IN PARLIAMENTARY SPEECH

Quote:
I had the honour of attending the UK Parliament session last Tuesday, for a landmark address - on what will be required to address the diabetes epidemic and reverse its course. Deputy leader of the UK Labour party gave the packed room a heartfelt oration on his own diabetes and weight-loss journey, right before Aseem got into the details of what needs to be done - ASAP. Aseem’s talk pulls no punches, hits the core issues, and was followed by a massive round of applause.

Things are moving folks. My podcast series also starts releasing tomorrow - so expect more informative video / audio goodies!

I’ll be sharing all content from this UK Parliament session in the coming weeks - including contributions from Tom Watson MP, Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP, Dr. Zoe Harcombe and Dr. Trudi Deakin - and also the rather lively Q&A session that followed.

More to come will be added here.

wonderful! Feels good to know we're at the forefront of a MOVEMENT that is swiftly gathering momentum! ...except, of course, for how the gathering momentum is driving up the cost of our butter, bacon, olive oil, and avocados!

Looking forward to more of this. Aseem is an excellent speaker and his alliance with Tom Watson can only be a good thing in terms of getting more political publicity.

Excellent presentation. I caught it this morning after seeing his link on twitter. Let's hope the momentum keeps up, and spreads to our side of the pond.

24,000 views on YouTube. I usually live by the mantra, "don't read the comments", but in this case, there are a lot of good ones.

For some reason listening to this just made me want to cry. It is so simple what people have to do to get healthier, the evidence is out there as he said, and yet people keep eating junk, loads and loads of junk. Smart people, members of my own family who know how successful I have been, still don't change their ways. I wish I could feel more optimistic but I'm not. Sigh...

Oh man, that was great.

His counter to Jim Mann's pro-fibre position was brilliant. I did recall Caryn Zinn's study but never thought to put two and two together in the way that he did. I wish I'd thought of that when I spoke to Jim a few weeks ago.

The battle is joined!

Recently watched the Henry the Fifth production with Kenneth Branaugh, Derek Jacoby, Brian Blessed, etc, and now I’m all Shakespeared up. It was very fine.

Love Zoe...she can summarize her PhD thesis in 10 minutes, and give them 3 simple action steps.

Two of the key speakers in front of this group at Parliment are also bullied on the front page of the Sunday Mail yesterday, funny coincidence that
