Everywhere you look, the theater of the absurd. I am thinking of retiring to a cave and living out the rest of my life in meditation.

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world

The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;

Very apt in this case.

Scopes monkey trial all over again. Science vs. a belief system. Of course, it was bad science that got us into this dietary mess in the first place. I see this event as having the science supporting 'Low Fat' being on trial just as much as it is putting LC put under the microscope. Let the best man win. I hope that the outcome of this trial raises awareness worldwide that excessive carbohydrates in our diet is the root cause of many (if not most) of our health issues. Without change this will ultimately bankrupt the world via out-of-control health care costs.

Back to Scope vs. monkey trial... I'm not so sure that the evolution folks have things figured out nearly as much as they think they do. I really saw that historical event as one belief system vs. another. Science should not be in the business of trying to disprove faith and vs. versa.

Thanks for the link, Janet. It was an interesting read. I'm looking forward to see where this all goes. I like how Noakes referred to the relationship between doctors and the old supposedly "evidence" based science as "faith". Faith in a science that does not make people better. I also found it amusing that the infamous tweet occurred in February 2014. That was pivotal moment for me as well. That is the very month I started this WOE.

Human breast milk is 54% fat, 39% carbohydrates and 7% protein - high fat and lower carb than any of the registered dogmatists' recommendations. Why is that controversial?

Excellent article, Janet. I had the same epiphany as Noakes ~10 years ago - “An Industrial-Government-Academic (IGA) complex is protecting the commercial interests of the medical growth industry of diabetes”, including BigPharma & BigAgra.

Great article! Really lays it OUT. Do we have science or to do we have corporate sponsored infotainment?!?!?

Excellent read. With the HPCSA not expected to render a verdict until April 21, I feel for Noakes and his family having to wait through this controlled and deliberate delay.

Some very major Noakes fan spent a ton of time creating a complete playlist of the Noakes trial. Capetown Live had recorded it all, now it on YouTube in 63 parts. I only watched the first intro part about 10 minutes, of why Dr Noakes is pursuing to correct dietary dogma more about his father I had not heard before, very good. If I started now might finish by verdict day.
