Default interesting

I work for the NHS and the other day a cardiologist came into the canteen and sat at my table. I sort of got chatting to him and my diet cropped up in the conversation (I was eating pork rinds/scratchings and brie). I asked him what he thought and he said "officially, its unhealthy and you should eat a low fat diet" - he then said in a whisper "unofficially thats a load of nonsense, as is the cholesterol nonsense. But if you repeat I've said that, I'll have to kill you" (with a wink and a smile)!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing that. I'm glad to hear that some mainstream doctors get it.

I think many do, they just have to keep with the "party line" - otherwise, they'd be cast out!
