I read in another post about Squeezle, who had her insulin tested and found it to be high. She was then put on a medication.
My question is this: How should an insulin test after two months of LC'ing work? Should I go back to a "regular" diet before the test?
I'm having my thyroid rechecked and asking for a test for insulin next week. The weight is not coming off, nor are the inches. So I wonder if my insulin isn't way out of balance. I take thyroid therapy and seem to fit in the category of folks who are insulin sensitive.
My advice would be to stick with your low-carb program for more accurate results. Besides, you must be fasting for 8 hrs before the test is done anyway, water only to drink.
Here's some information about the Insulin test, and what the results mean.
