Default Just dx with PCOS today

I was here several months ago, but during a move out of state, fell off the wagon and never got back on.

I was dx with polycystic ovarian syndrome (or PCOS) today. I know that a low carb diet is supposed to help with the symptoms of PCOS as well as get the weight off.

Anyone have any articles that I can read to back this up? I need to find as much on this as I can and am not finding it on search engines.

THanks!

Check out the PCOS threads under the health section. Lots of good information there!

I only did a quick search, but there are heaps of good articles under this forums PCOS thread.
I must admit, when i found out I had PCOS, I also look for info regarding it, and the more experiences I read from people that had it and what they have done to treat it, the more I could see the benifits of low carb.
I would recommend it to anyone at least to TRY for say 2 months.
I lowered my cholestrol, uped my iron levels, and finally was able to loose weight AND fall pregnant (my desired result)
All the best
Fiona

Which low carb plan helps with PCOS the most? I want to lose weight first and foremost....and in time have another child.
