When you can stablize your blood sugars at good levels, most people need to decrease their medications for blood glucose.

Also, if you do a youtube search for statins you will find that these are not effective and have far more side effects than a drug should have. There has been a lot posted here on this forum as well. A waste of money. If you think getting off statins is right for you, gather up the evidence and talk to your doctor. You have choices. Doctors cannot make you take medications. Again, this is your choice.

Your good diet is your best bet to great health.

Hi Arielle,

I already started a journal, don't know if I am doing it right or not. It is hooked onto my posts. I still have to put today's food in there yet.

I will look up that book that you sent me the name of. Thank you much!

Barb

Don’t change any medication without your doctor's advice, but it is possible that your BG and BP readings come down quickly and go too low. Consider phoning your doctor's office, and tell them your readings were x over the past y days...ask to adjust the dose. You are eating a very low carb diet, which is diuretic itself. Be sure she knows that you are committed to eating the Atkins induction level of only 20g carbs, and some of your medications may need to be adjusted.

As others have written, don’t change the psychological meds without supervision. Here is a good article about what doctors need to know. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/...ric-medications There are a few other links in Dr Edes first article you may want to share with the doctor who is prescribing the bi-polar meds. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/...r-brain-in-2018
