Default Just bought the book...

...Eat Great, Lose Weight. I originally wanted the Michel Montignac book but it was unavailable here down under and I didn't want to wait for it to be shipped over. I was told the SS was very much like the MM (which is why I bought the book). Yet reading her book, I find she's a bit more lax on things that MM would be strict on (like eating some brown bread, rice, pasta). ANyone tried both, and if so, which one was better?

Hello also from down under! I live in Melbourne!
I have tried both and found MM very limiting. For the same reason I am opposed to Atkins. I believe it is important to have a diet that includes grains. The naughty culprits are white flour, white rice and sugar.
Somersizing is also very easy to follow and you don't feel hungry all the time. In addition the MM and Atkins can cause bad breath, constipation and other symptoms that accompany a diet without grains.
Good luck, keep it up.
