Default St. John's Wort

Anyone else out there taking St. John's Wort? I had a period of depression back in Feb. and pulled myself out, but have been taking St. John's Wort ever since. I am currently traveling with my husband and children and won't be home for at least another month to month and a half. Once I get home I plan to talk to my doctor, but for now am trying to keep the depression to a minimum. I found that LCing has really helped with some of the depression.

Hi! I was using it for a while for seasonal depression, but I don't know if it helped me or not. It has sedative properties, which was probably not good for me, because my depression was of the "lethargic" type. It would probably be better for someone with an "anxiety" type depression. I took it at night and it did seem to help me sleep.

That's really neat that you're travelling - I hope you're enjoying it.

Kristine I don't know how well it works or if it even does. My husband heard a bad report about the health risks on the news and now he is concerned that maybe I shouldn't be taking it. I have been having trouble sleeping lately, but that may be due to a back problem and not depression/ anxiety. Oh well, I guess we should all be thankful spring is here and enjoy the weather. Our whole family loves to travel. We better, it looks like this is going to be a long year for it.
