Thumbs up My results after 1 week on Phase 1

I lost 5 pounds. I am so excited. I also feel so much lighter and my stomach is definitely going down. I've been sick so one night I just couldn't deal with anything so I had chinese food. But even with this one evening deviation, I managed to lose 5 pounds.

I intend to stay on Phase 1 during Lent, for spiritual as well as health reasons. I feel like my body is detoxifying and readjusting itself since my year on Atkins. Don't get me wrong. I owe Dr. Atkins for saving my life. By sticking to that woe for a year I lost around 50 pounds and my body feels so much better. I can climb steps and walk fast without getting winded. And I went from a size 26-28 to a size 22. But this year I would like to lose another 50 pounds. I had been on a stall for almost 3 months and was losing motivation and starting to give in to my carb addiction. I think SB is the answer. I can have my good carbs and still have my meat, fish, chicken, good fats. And I can have occasional fruit, grains and beans.

Just wanted to let you know that this is working for me.

Congrats...great news...

SBD, as it says in the book, is somewhat forgiving...as long as you don't cheat regularly it is easy to hop back on the bandwagon and continue to lose weight...anyway...

Great Job!
