He's 15 ), docusate sodium twice daily (which works by forcing more water absorption into the stool), and 1000mg or more of mag a day (with instructions to up it if necessary.) And also a 15-strain probiotic that contains bifidum infantum. It works really well for him now. One day when he is older he may have a scope done if the help stops working, but for now he is functional.

I hope you can take some help from some of that.

Thank you - that is very useful!!! I have a hard time with probiotics because a lot of them contain rice powder and that destroys my gut.

If your gut is sick it needs to heal. More fiber just strains the large intestine more, increases the bulk and causes constipation. Your doctor will have pictures taken during the scope. He can give you copies so you can see what's going on. I had a spot with replicating cells like cancer does. My doctor did a biopsy and it was negative.

Bio-K is the best, it has the highest number of good live bacteria of any . I buy the one in fermented milk, no rice at all. Of the hundreds of brands they have the Whole Food manager said this one was the best. It's in the refrigerator section. It's grown in a lab, not in a food processing plant.
I've taken it for about 3 years off and on and I believe this has helped greatly.
