Default Local News Diet "Study" in Minnesota

Here is a link to a "study" being done by WCCO, a television station here in Minnesota. They are using 9 people to study the effectiveness of 3 different diets - including Atkins. What an incredible joke. No matter how the experiment turns out, it can have no possible value. This is what happens when journalists, with no scientific training try to play at science.

Who knows; this article might be doing more for dietary research than thousands of scientists with scientific training who've gone before.

Most articles seem to be of the "Three vegetarians we know have low cholesterol, therefore red meat causes heart disease." variety. Or, "Okinawans live a long time, therefore saturated fat causes heart disease."

If the results, progress, and comments simply get reported without being run too much thru the Meyer-Jax filter, it could be a helpful series.

Cheer up, PoofieD! The Emperor Has No Clothes, and the giggling is becoming audible, thanks to little boys (to continue the analogy) like you.
