3 DAY KIMMER EXP/ MEAT AND EGG, 3-5 Days or Until Goal***You Decide***Sept 1-30
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This challenge is for anyone who is considering, is doing, or has done the 3-day challenge or meat/egg challenge
Rules for Kimmers 3 day experiment--READ THOURGHLY
Do this for 3-5 days
As much lean protein as you desire--only lean protein
Length of time is 3-5 days depending on how 'carbed up' you are
Purpose is to experience 'real' ketosis (weight loss, no appetite)
Useful as a springboard for other LC programs
No alcohol, no cheese
Basic condiments and spices OK(watch catsup & A1 sauce)
RULES FOR Meat/Egg ---READ THOROUGHLY!
Do this for 3-5 days or until you reach goal!
Protein only (lean for best results)
Skip unnecessary fats like cream
NO Cheese
Go easy on the mayo
Skip alcohol (yes, all forms!)
Skip junk protein like pepperoni and pork rinds
Skip Chicken wings and skin
Drink diet beverages and plain coffee & tea as desired
Use artificial sweeteners as desired
No calorie counting
No cheating (it's 3 days!)
Have a Centrum type vitamin each day
Eat to appetite. If you're hungry, eat. If you're not hungry, don't eat. No need to force yourself to eat when you're not hungry. Do not count the carbs in eggs, diet beverages, plain coffee or tea. Your carbs will pretty much be non-existent if you stick to these rules. Within three days, you should be in deep ketosis with a much suppressed appetite. Remember, after two days, if you have lost 3 to 5 lbs, then you were over on your carbs (per Kimmer) And you don't have to do 5 carbs or less. Kimmer NEVER said that. She just said to keep your carbs as low as possible, and as long as you are sticking to these rules, like I said before, your carbs should pretty much be non-existent.

FOR THOSE ABOUT TO **ROCK** - WE SALUTE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a list to help you start with a lean choice:
Very Lean Protein choices have 35 calories and 1 gram of fat per serving.
One serving equals:
1 ounce Turkey breast or chicken breast, skin removed
1 ounce Fish fillet (flounder, sole, scrod, cod, etc.)
1 ounce Canned tuna in water
1 ounce Shellfish (clams, lobster, scallop, shrimp)
2 each Egg whites
1/4 cup Egg substitute
Lean Protein choices have 55 calories and 2-3 grams of fat per serving. One serving equals:
1 ounce Chicken- dark meat, skin removed
1 ounce Turkey - dark meat, skin removed
1 ounce Salmon, Swordfish, herring
1 ounce Lean beef (flank steak, London broil, tenderloin, roast beef)*
1 ounce Veal, roast or lean chop*
1 ounce Lamb, roast or lean chop*
1 ounce Pork, tenderloin or fresh ham*
1 ounce Low fat luncheon meats (with 3 grams or less of fat per ounce)
The leanest beef cuts include round steaks and roasts (round eye, top round, bottom round, round tip), top loin, top sirloin, and chuck shoulder and arm roasts.
The leanest pork choices include pork loin, tenderloin, center loin, and ham.
Choose extra lean ground beef. The label should say at least “90% lean”. You may be able to find ground beef that is 93% or 95% lean.
Buy skinless chicken parts, or take off the skin before cooking.
Boneless skinless chicken breasts and turkey cutlets are the leanest poultry choices.
Choose lean turkey, roast beef, ham, or low-fat luncheon meats for sandwiches instead of luncheon meats with more fat, such as regular bologna or salami. Be careful of the sodium content on lunchmeat choices
How to Keep it lean:
Trim away all of the visible fat from meats and poultry before cooking.
Broil, grill, roast, poach, or boil meat, poultry, or fish instead of frying.
Drain off any fat that appears during cooking.
